“The book was absolutely superb. The presentation, the photography and your reporting were the best… I will read and reread the book many times; each time with the same pleasure. Dog people are indeed special and their pets are special animals.”

James Lehosit captures the charming personalities of the dogs and their people with his lens while the stories are told by dog owners, or the dogs themselves.

You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. And you will never forget the faces of our best friends.

Peg Lehosit lives in Riverside and Avondale with her husband Charlie and their dog Big.
She is currently working on a second book based on a painting by their son James.
